Indexwhy is designed to collect as little data as possible. The following describes what the tool handles:
When you enter a URL into Indexwhy, that URL is transmitted to our analysis endpoint (/api/analyze) to perform the check. The URL is processed in real time and is not permanently stored by Indexwhy. The results are displayed to you and then discarded — nothing is saved server-side.
Indexwhy stores a single preference in your browser's localStorage: your chosen colour theme (light or dark) under the key ixw-theme. This is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
Indexwhy does not require registration, log-in, or account creation. No personal information (name, email address, payment information) is collected because the tool has no sign-up process.
The URL you submit is used solely to generate the diagnostic report you requested. It is not logged, aggregated, analysed, or shared. The theme preference stored in your browser is used only to display the site in your preferred colour mode.
Indexwhy runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes requests in transit according to its own privacy policy. No data is sent to any other third party.
Indexwhy does not set any cookies.
Because Indexwhy does not permanently store any data you submit, there is nothing to retain or delete. Your browser's local storage (ixw-theme) is managed by your browser and can be cleared at any time.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or other jurisdictions with data protection laws, you have rights regarding your personal data. Since Indexwhy does not collect, store, or process personal data, these rights are inherently respected. If you have questions, email indexwhy-p1@agen2ic.ai.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of Indexwhy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
